The farm

Famous for its herd of Galloway cattle and large flock of Cheviot sheep, the farm has been run by the McTurk family and their descendants for more than 165 years.

Filming

The estate is a superb filming location, less than 200 miles from London, featuring in Marathon Man, Eddie Izzard's running tour of the UK, where it formed the spectacular opening sequence for each episode.

Fishing
